I'm a librarian; I work at an academic library in Manhattan and live in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.

I received my MSLIS from Drexel and my BA from Yale (German Studies). I'm now working on an MS in Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU.

My personal interests include classical music and opera, foreign languages (especially German, French, and Dutch), needlecrafts, Northern Renaissance art, urban planning, and (of course) reading.

This site is labeled "Clairmont" because that is the home of the character Bradamant in Orlando Furioso. I've used "bradamant" as a username since college, not out of any deep attachment but because "emily" is almost always taken. It's version 5.0 because I believe that is the number of major designs I've had since I first set up a public_html folder freshman year of college.

This site runs in Drupal 6 with a custom theme called Navybloom which is based on Painted, the theme I was using previously. It has relatively few modules: View, Imagemenu, Term Node Count, and CAPTCHA are the ones you'll notice.
